Home / Cruising USA / Cruising USA Episode 22: 2016 Hyundai Sonata

Cruising USA, our weekly Web series, is all about connecting with real drivers and hearing what they like (or dislike) about their vehicles. For this week’s episode, we head to Venice Beach, where we enjoyed a nice chat with our man Omar, in town from Kansas City.

Back home in Kansas City, Omar gets around in a 2016 Hyundai Sonata—and he was eager to tell us all about it.

Getting the Scoop on the 2016 Hyundai Sonata

Omar says he gets a lot of compliments on his car—largely thanks to the sleek design. He bought it used, and got a great deal; now, he saves even more money thanks to the great mileage.

Omar picked the Sonata based on the great reviews, and he’s found that it lives up to the hype. It offers a smooth drive and great fuel economy. He does admit that he didn’t add all the bonus features, like heated seats, and regrets it. Beyond that, though, Omar loves everything about his Sonata.

And as for maintenance? Omar says he hasn’t had to do a thing outside of the standard oil change.

The bottom line? Omar recommends the Sonata—and encourages everyone to spring for the higher packages if they can!
