Every week, Get My Auto brings you a new episode of Cruising USA—the Web-based series where we look for the real story behind your favorite cars and trucks. Here’s how it works: We take to the sidewalks and streets of California where we ask actual drivers about what they get around in. We ask what they’re driving, invite them to share some of their favorite car-born memories, and inquire about what they like best about their vehicles of choice. The aim of our show is simple: We want to go beyond sales pitches and help you to see what these cars are truly like.
In our most recent episode, we learned about three very different cars. Here’s a quick summary.
2004 Dodge Ram 2500
The first driver we spoke with in Episode 8 was Ryan, the proud owner of a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500. Ryan told us he came from a small, rural town in Wyoming—so his pickup truck was a bit of a cliché. But even now, driving amongst the beaches of California, he loves his Ram.
Ryan told us he’s had the car for seven or eight years now, and really hasn’t
had any major problems with it; he clearly loves the value and longevity his Ram has provided him.
2004 Hyundai Elantra
The next folks we met were Luis and Maria, whose vehicle of choice was a 2004 Hyundai Elantra. They, too, expressed gratitude for their vehicle’s durability and relative lack of maintenance issues. They also highlighted its fuel efficiency and interior details. All told? They seemed very pleased with their ride!
2015 BMW 330i
The third and final car we saw in this episode was a BMW. The driver, Chandler, told us the car had been a birthday present from some very nice parents—and that it’s really been a blast to drive it around. Chandler singled out the car’s speed and its small, petite size.
And there you have it—three more scoops about popular cars and trucks from drivers just like you. Tune in next week when Get My Auto takes you behind the scenes once again in Episode 9 of Cruising USA!
