Cruising USA returns this week with a new installment—featuring some inside stories about the 2006 Chevrolet Silverado. Here’s our quick recap of the episode.
2006 Chevy Silverado Review
In this week’s episode, the driver we spoke with was Tom. Tom tells us that this Chevy is the third truck he’s owned, and he chose it because he’s always found Silverados easy to work on; he says he can make a lot of repairs and handle quite a bit of the maintenance himself, and that the parts are inexpensive.
Tom’s Chevy has 126,000 miles on it. In terms of maintenance, he’s done standard oil changes, and he’s also had to make some repairs to the power steering. Overall, though, the Chevy has served him well, and he recommends it.
As a final word of advice, Tom says that, if you’re in the market for a truck, you should buy what you want; don’t settle! There are so many great truck options out there, and it’s important to find the one that’s right for you.
